I several times had a bit of trouble with the links for the mini-challenges - that could work a bit better.

10. How likely are you to participate in the Read-a-thon again? What role would you be likely to take next time?
I would love to take part in a Read-a-Thon again and I am already looking forward to April. I
       will be a reader again

Hour 23 - I am tired

I am still reading but not so fast and I cant concentrate that well all the time. I will keep reading to the end but I will not be able to finish the last book I am reading. Rest assured I will finish it at the latest tomorrow after a bit of sleep.

Hour 22

I have just been through a rough patch. Sitting reading next to my sleeping husband was not working for me.
Now I have had some breakfast I am ready to go on.

Hour 21

I am now 23 percent in and I am hoping I will finish it before the end and with 3½ hour left I think I will make it.

I am doing this Read-a-Thon with my husband but he gave in a few hours ago and went to sleep. I might have to wake him up soon so he can continue his reading or wait a few hours and wake him up with breakfast.

We will see, it depends on my mood.

Hour 19

It is approximately 4.30am my time and I have just finished this book.
It was not on my list but while looking through some of the blogs of other readers, my husband saw it and decided to buy them for me right away.

He knows me well :-)

It just a few moments I am going to read the 2nd. book

This was one of the books on my list that I was looking forward to read but it now has to wait as I need to read the continuation of Forsaken.

hour 16

It is 2am and I am getting quite caught up in my book. I am now 45 percent into The Demon Trappers: Forsaken

Read-A-Thon Hour 16 Mini-Challenge: Rereading

Here are just 3 of my favourite rereads

I can not remember when I first started reading The Clan of the Cave Bear but the fact is that I have reread the whole series quite a few times

Harry Potter I also keep rereading. When I first started to read these books I lived in Glasgow, Scotland.

The Hobbit and The Lord of The Rings are also on the top list of my rereads.

My biggest problem with these are that they are series and when I start rereading them I keep going till I finished them all.

Still going strong - hour 15

I have started yawning but actually not tired yet. Time here is 12.30am but that is not a problem. I guess it comes from being use to doing night shifts. I have also got a track record of just reading for hours on end where nobody could get much of a response out of me because I were caught up in my reading.

I really love this Read-a-Thon

Update on reading: I am 31 percent in to The Demon Trappers: Forsaken.

The Mid-Event Survey mini-challenge

1. What are you reading right now?
I have just started Demon Trappers: Forsaken by Jana Oliver

2. How many books have you read so far?
 This is my 3rd book

3. What book are you most looking forward to for the second half of the Read-a-thon?
I think The Gathering by Kelley Armstrong

4. Did you have to make any special arrangements to free up your whole day?
As I did not actually find out about the Read-a-thon till a few days ago, I unfortunately could not free up the whole day

5. Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those?
I have had no interruptions apart from the 4 prearranged engagements I had, so no problem there.

6. What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far?
That so many people take part from all over the world, I find this brilliant.

7. Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next year?
No. This is my first and I am already looking forward to the next.

8. What would you do differently, as a Reader or a Cheerleader, if you were to do this again next year?
Well, now I know about it I will make sure I have the whole 24 hours free to do it.

9. Are you getting tired yet?
Nope.

10. Do you have any tips for other Readers or Cheerleaders, something you think is working well for you that others may not have discovered?
I really enjoy doing this together with my husband so my advice would be to do this with another person as it is quite nice to chat about the book you are reading at the moment.

2nd book

I finished my second book and it was quite interesting and a bit different to what I usually read. But I enjoyed it and will have to look at more of his books at a later date.

Ready to go

I have finally finished all my prearranged engagements and can now get down to some serious reading. My problem is to decide what to read.

I think I will read The Uncommon Reader by Alan Bennett

Mini-Challenge: Book Sentences

voices powering up the ghost road

Finished first book

I finished the first book.

I have enjoyed it as I always do.

I thought I might go for one of the books I have not previously read but as I still have a few interruptions during the next few hours. I will start another book that I have already read quite a few times

3½ hour into the read-a-thon

A bit of lunch, then back to reading for a full 3 hours. I love this.

How far am I

I am now on page 120 of The Life and Loves of a She-Devil by Fay Weldon. I have not been able to read all the time and have another prearranged engagement now.

I will be back to reading as soon as I can.

Ready

Only a few minutes to go. I am ready.

It is dark, cold and windy outside -- a perfect day for reading.

As mentioned I will start with The life and Loves of a She-Devil by Fay Weldon

My read-a-thon booklist

I now have my list of books ready - kind off!

1. Ruth Rendell: The Monster in the Box. (ebook - not read before)

2. Charles De Lint: The very Best of Charles De Lint (ebook  - not read before)

3. Kelley Armstrong: The Gathering (ebook - not read before)

4. Alan Bennett: The Uncommon Reader (ebook - not read before)

5. Patricia Briggs: Alpha and Omega (ebook - read previously)

6. Fay Weldon.  The Life and Loves of a She-Devil (paperback - read previously several times)

7. Antoine De Saint-Exupery: The Little Prince (paperback - read previously several times)

8. Knud H Thomsen: Vejen gennem bjergene (hardback - read previously several times)

9.Roald Dahl: Collected Short Stories (paperback - read previously several times)

10. Various authors: Chicken Soup for the Couples soul (paperback - read previously several times)

11. Various authors: Chicken Soup for the Soul (paperback - read previously several times)

As I have quite a few prearranged engagement the first part of the day, I will probably start with Fay Weldon as I know it well and it is easy to dip in and out of whenever I got a break.

When I can get down to the serious reading I think I will move on to Ruth Rendell as I had this book since Christmas and just not got around to reading it.

After that we will see what time it is!

Books 7 - 9 - 10 - 11 I  will dip in and out off during the 24 hours whenever I need a break from whatever I am reading at the time.

When I was looking for the books on my bookshelves that I thought I would like to read, I really wished for a gadget that could make a certain book jump out from the shelf. One book took me app. half an hour to find.

What to choose.

It is soon time and I still have to decide what to read. I think I will go through the bookshelves and the ebooks tomorrow. After that I will put up a list with my choices.

I will most likely choose way too much.
