This is as the title says Jane Sagan's diary. It must be the most boring part of her diary. It is only 100 pages long but I had to pull myself together to read it. I liked the chapter where she describes how she, at his request, kills her friend Cainen. He is an alien but became her friend and this chapter is a direct follow on from a conversation in The Ghost Brigades. I am still looking forward to read The Last Colony.
